IV infusion set (also called an IV set) is mainly used to deliver a fluids, medications, or nutrients directly into a patient’s vein. It's part of the intravenous therapy system and it also connects the IV fluid bag to the patient through a catheter.
- Auto air stop -Prevents air from entering the IV line, which can be dangerous (air embolism).
- Priming filter-Removes bacteria, particles, and air during the priming process (when the IV line is first filled with fluid)
